Content lists

Each workspace menu gives access to a listing of the selected type of content. Content listed can be searched in, sorted, filtered or exported in different formats - And for each item in the listing, a number of additional actions are available, and iconography helps identifying visibility, favourites and more.

 

Overview

Lists main features Description Comment
1 - Search Use known terms, boolean operators, search codes, wild cards, truncations etc. for searching. Can be combined for more powerful searches. 
2 - Filter Narrow down content to specific characteristics. Filter settings can be combined and saved for later use. See Filtering your content 
3 - Sort Re-arrange the list order according to different criteria. Sorting options depends on content characteristics. See Sorting in content listing.
4 - Views List view, matrix view For alternative overview. Will differ between content types. Some has a Table view as well. 
5 - Download Download (Exports) currently listed content in a selected format and style. Longer listings may take a while to produce.
6 - Content type menu

The left side menu lists all available content types. Clicking on any content type in the menu will list submitted items in more detail. 

 

A content type menu item may have a number of sub-items. In the example, the Research outputs sub-items are "Editable" and "My research output".

Editable

The number of outputs that can still be edited by the researcher (Not yet validated). 

If revalidation is enabled all output can be edited. Revalidation is a workflow configuration that, when enabled, allows researchers to modify already validated content.

The total listing of all outputs submitted.

 

List items

Each item in the list has some key information as listed below, here for Research outputs:

Other content types can have variations of this, depending on if workflow is enabled, and the metadata available.

Each item in the list has a number of options:

List icons main features Description Comment
Visibility See what visibility state the content has Usually used on Portals, to determine what should be available. See Visibility in Pure 
Favourite Allows you to select or de-select it as favourite Sorting options depends on content characteristics. See My favourites
Open access Attached file is considered 'Open access' If there are multiple files uploaded, this icon is displayed if at least one is considered 'Open access'. 
Paper clip The content has file(s) attached See number of files by hovering the mouse above icon
Labels (Comes with many types of text)

Labels can be:

• Publication state (Research output) only

• Workflow status (If workflow on type)

Click to highlight all with same label for quick overview.

If there are more than 20 authors in an item in the listing, only 20 will be listed by default.
