What is Submission LanguageWhat is Submission Language

What

Submission language is the language that you prefer to submit your content in. So if your Pure have two languages, e.g. English and Danish, either one of them can be selected.

How

This may be relevant if for example a Danish-speaking researcher works on a Danish University. However, this researcher most often publish in English, and can thereby set the submission language to English. This will prepare the editor to have English pre-selected as Language in the Publication information group:

As the university is Danish and placed in Denmark it could make sense to have some content translated to Danish. To do this translation fields can be found, either via the flags as embedded fields in the editor:

or from the menu point Oversættelse (Translation), with a full overview of translatable fields

In general it is recommended to have the same submission languages as interface languages (UI locales).

Note, that the submission language setting has no influence on the Interface language (UI locales).
